NextGen Tech Youth Foundation

Be part of the first cohort.

The first Bot Catchers cohort: 10 to 12 Philadelphia kids, eight sessions, learning to use AI by catching it being wrong, at no cost to their families. Here's how to have a hand in it.

Volunteer & Mentor

Help run a session.

If you work in tech, you already know enough. Eight sessions, a small room of curious kids trying to catch an AI being wrong, and a session plan we hand you. No teaching experience required. The teen programs will take mentors later.

Tech Mentor
Work with one student at a time. Answer questions, look at their work, help them get unstuck.
Guest Speaker
Tell the kids what you do and how you got there. Most of them have never met someone who works in tech.
Curriculum Reviewer
Read our lesson plans and tell us what's wrong, outdated, or too hard for the age group.
Event Volunteer
Help set up, check kids in, and run the room on class days and at the certificate ceremony.

Sponsor

Sponsor a class.

Sponsors cover the cost of a class and get their name on it. Four levels, and every one comes with a plain report on what the money did.

Other ways

More ways to help

Used laptops, employer matching, and planned gifts all count.

Used laptops and equipment

Have laptops, tablets, or software licenses you no longer use? We will put them in front of kids who need them. Email us to set up a drop-off or pick-up in Philadelphia.

Planned giving

You can name NextGen Tech Youth Foundation in your will or estate plan. Any amount helps keep classes free for Philadelphia kids down the road.

Matching gifts

Many employers match donations dollar for dollar, and some go 2-to-1. Ask your HR department if yours does. It doubles your gift at no cost to you.
